Singapore-born Eugene Kwok was taught by his mother, Lilian Eu, when he was about 5. He also had Master Classes from his mother's teacher, David Apelbaum, and when he was 14, he started lessons with Mr. Apelbaum.
Eugene turned professional at an early age, and has performed before Princess Margaret on the occasion of her Royal Visit to Singapore, and the Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Nations. He has recorded for Radio and Television Singapore.
Eugene performed for many years at the Goodwood Park Hotel, and then at the Mandarin Hotel.
In 1973, he enrolled in DePaul Universit in Chicago, Illinoisy, and graduated with a Bachelor of Music Degree with Highest Honors after two years' attendance. He furthered his education at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, graduating with a Masters in 1981.

Eugene received "rave reviews for his performance of the Music of Frank Sinatra" at the Indian Prairie
